I have been taking this great webinar/course about photography. It’s 5 days and a lot to absorb. I think growing creatively is wonderful as a photographer and I am always pushing my limits and shooting a number of different subjects. But, one of the topics that was discussed involved being transparent on the web and getting to know your clients. So this post is a glimpse into my life and my family. These photo’s are of my little cousin. CUTE! I know. She lives on the left coast so I get to see her about once or twice a year and I am always encouraged to bring my camera. I do so begrudgingly. I like to absorb the moments I have with my family not behind a lens all day. This day was good because I only brought it out for a few minutes to snap off some photos. I am glad I did.

KISS Albums

As a photographer I work exceedingly hard to capture that perfect moment with my camera. But that is only the first step. I then take great care to digitally develop the images into my vision, your art.

A lot of people no longer experience the joy of being able to hold their memories in their hands. We look at our stories on a computer screen. The problem is that a photo will rarely look the same from computer to computer. We don’t get to use our senses to their fullest. There is no tactile response or even smell. When we experience our moments as an album the color and image stays true and we appreciate them on a greater level. We have the joy of being able to pass our stories around a room or look gazingly at the binding as we pass by. This is where the magic of photography happens.

I am proud to present KISS albums. They are photographically printed and of the greatest quality. This is HUGE! The spreads lay flat and the pages wont discolor. They can be ordered in sizes from 4×4 to 12×12 in leather or linen. The luxurious leather, supple and soft to the touch, is revealed from it’s sexy cloth dust cover showing a hard substrate between the pages making the albums substantially heavier. They make a great album for any occasion.

Creative New Hampshire Wedding Photography | Sean & Nova | Zorvino Vineyards

Sean and Nova have an inspiring love story. Their passion and spirituality made it an honor to be a part of their special celebration. As Nova reflected, “the ceremony was somewhat Buddhist inspired.” From the hand picked wildflowers to the cake decorated with cherry blossoms every detail of this day showed a deep meaning to this loving couple. As you look at these pictures you will notice that these two have an affliction for Chuck Taylor’s. Sean wore the same pair of shoes during graduation and plans to wear them again when his children are born. Fresh laces of course. Nova’s Polish family was a lot of fun! I especially liked the mother and aunt of the bride ripping up the hardwood floors with a good old polka. Zorvino’s is a beautiful venue. The post and beam barn, with it’s attention to detail, was a pleasure to dine in. While the grounds and the lovely vineyard were great for photos. I’ll have to make my way back to sample the wine but I heard nothing but praise. Sean’s brother, aside from being the best man, served up some great music during the ceremony and reception with his band Destroy Babylon, as well as an excellent toast. He was given a break every once in a while by DJ Pete Chambers, who kept the party moving.

Beautiful Backyard Wedding Photography | Steve & Patty | Middleboro, MA

Some of us dream of weddings in far off places like Hawaii. Well apparently the couple that lives in Hawaii dreams of a wedding at home in a big beautiful backyard in Massachusetts. I think, and I am sure everyone agrees, it doesn’t matter where you get married, but to whom. These two amazing people and their family and friends were a blast to be with. Congratulations Blake and Lisa!! Thank you for inviting me to your special day.

A visit to Wellfleet on Cape Cod always brings excitement and joy. Certainly there is no exception for a wedding and a quick trip to the beach to have fun with your photography. Blake and Lisa threw a fantastic celebration at The Holden Inn. Including some amazing music from The Boston Horns. These guys rocked the funk and had everyone dancing up a storm. A big thanks, as well, to photographer Kelly Macdonald for inviting me to the event and allowing me to focus on being creative and capturing beautiful images.

I cannot believe how busy I have been over the past month. My business has been taking off! Hopefully I can devote a bit more time to my blog as I reign in my to do list. I am working on separating my boudoir work to it’s own unique blog and have a number of AWESOME shoots to share with you all. Also be on the lookout for some wedding photography from 2 weddings I have attended in June. Both at spectacular locations! To top it all off I am moving!!! I can’t leave you without a photo so I’ll share a reminder that summer is a great time to get some family portraits taken and if you don’t have kids bring along the pooch. Pet photography can be a blast!

Engagement Session | Corey + Rachel @ Easton,MA

Corey and Rachel were recently engaged at the most magical of locations. You guessed it, Walt Disney World. We all know that a man needs to put a lot of thought into how he proposes. Corey is a keeper! He proposed with Rachel’s gorgeous ring in a glass slipper at Cinderella’s castle. I am sure most of you reading this just went “awwww” I love meeting new people and hearing these stories, but not as much as being able to capture their love with my camera. Creating images for them to be able to cherish and share forever. That is what make photography magical. Their wedding date is not set just yet, but I had the pleasure of working with these two at some excellent locations. We had some fun in front of the historical buildings located in North Easton Village as well as the Natural Resources Trust Sheep Pasture.

I just love this image. What a perfect moment.

Mount Washington Sunrise, NH

After spending some time at Lake Chocorua we headed north along 16 into Conway, New Hampshire. I could not help but pull over along the side of the road as the golden light, post sunrise, was burning the fog off of the field with Mount Washington looming in the distance, still capped with it’s winter snows. I am sure many of you have seen this exact view before. I guess that is why I enjoy this image so much!
