But a photo is more than a picture of a moment; it has meaning, depth and art. A photo tells a story not only to your closest family and friends but tells even a stranger how meaningful that moment is. A photographer is more than someone snapping shots. My job as a photographer is to get to know you and your family and express that in images that can be passed down for generations to come. I am a photographer because I love getting to know people and I absolutely love having the honor of sharing in moments we never want to forget.

Family Pool Party

I have been taking this great webinar/course about photography. It’s 5 days and a lot to absorb. I think growing creatively is wonderful as a photographer and I am always pushing my limits and shooting a number of different subjects. But, one of the topics that was discussed involved being transparent on the web and getting to know your clients. So this post is a glimpse into my life and my family. These photo’s are of my little cousin. CUTE! I know. She lives on the left coast so I get to see her about once or twice a year and I am always encouraged to bring my camera. I do so begrudgingly. I like to absorb the moments I have with my family not behind a lens all day. This day was good because I only brought it out for a few minutes to snap off some photos. I am glad I did.
